History
March, 19, 1982 - Signing of the contract for plant's construction.
September, 14, 1982 - Laying of "the first brick" and capsule with a "appeal to the descendants" into the foundation of the plant.
October, 15, 1984 - Start of the operation of the production facilities of the electric steel melting shop and fabrication of the first heat and its casting with CCM.
November, 4, 1984 - Start of the operation of the production facilities of the rolling mill, and rolling of the first lot of rolled section on mill 320/150.
July, 15, 1985 - Signing by the State Commission the Acceptance Report on putting into operation of the first stage of the plant.
November, 21, 1987 - Start of the operation of:
- secondary metallurgy facilities (furnace-ladle and circulating degasser) and CCM №3 at melt shop;
- complex of medium section rolling mill 850 at the rolling plant;
- facilities of wire shop №1 and production of the first lot of Byelorussian cord.
March, 1, 1991 - Start of the operation of wire shop №2, lime kiln №2, DSF-3 and vacuum degasser at the melt shop.
August, 10, 1995 - The first visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Lukashenko A.G. to the plant.
August, 1, 1996 - Opening of metallurgical technical school in Zhlobin.
April 1997 - Certification of the product Quality Assurance System in accordance with requirements of an international standard EN DIN ISO 9002:1994
October, 1, 1997 - Opening of the evening branch of Gomel State Polytechnic University named after RO.Sukhoi
September, 15, 2000 - Commissioning of new complex of wire mill 150 in the presence of Byelorussian President Lukashenko A.G.
November 2000 - Certification of Quality Management System in the field of production, at wire shops in accordance with requirements of an international standard EN DIN ISO 9002:1994 and additional requirements of standard QS 9000:1998.
November, 30, 2000 - Start of the operation of the production facilities of wire shop N°3
May, 19, 2002 - Start of the operation of the production facilities of the second stage of gas-oxygen station.
May 2003 - Certification of the current Quality Management System in accordance with requirements of an international standard EN DIN ISO 9001:2000, ISOAS 16949:2002.
