WE GUARANTEE QUALITY OF OUR PRODUCTS!

At the present time Byelorussian steel works is a modern enterprise which level of installed power per employee, production process automation and high technology complies with world criteria of scientific and technical progress.   
The first trial to develop and implement quality system at the Republican Unitary Enterprise «Byelorussian Steel Works» was done at 1994 within one wire shop.  In April 1997 plant quality system was certified by company «TUV Reinland/Berlin Brandenburg» (Germany) on conformity with requirements of ISO 9002:1994.
As a consequence of further development and improvement of quality system the following certificates were received by the plant:

  • In January, 2001 certificate on compliance to  QS 9000:1998 of steel cord and wire production quality system was obtained;
  • In October, 2001 certificate of compliance of quality system to the requirements of  СТБ ИСО 9002:1996 was received;
  • In March, 2002 plant was the first in the Republic and among CIS countries that received certificate of conformity of steel cord and wire production to ISO/TS 16949:1999.

At the present time the plant has 5 certificates of conformity of quality management system:

  • Certificate issued by State Committee on standardization, metrology and certification of the Republic of Belarus covering concast billets,  rolled product, steel cord and wire, confirming conformity of QMS to the requirements of СТБ ИСО 9001-2001.
  • Certificate TUV CERT covering concast billets, rolled and profiled sections, wire rod, steel cord and wire, confirming conformity of QMS to the requirements of international standard ISO 9001:2000.
  • Certificate TUV CERT covering production of steel cord and wire for automotive industry, confirming conformity of QMS to the requirements of international standard ISO/TS 16949:2002.
  • Certificate «Kontrollradet», Norway, covering production of reinforcement bars, confirming conformity of QMS to the requirements of NS-EN ISO 9001:2000.
  • Certificate of Grate Britain certification body «СARES», covering production of concast billets and rebars, confirming conformity of QMS to the requirements of ВS-EN ISO 9001:2000.

Environment management system was certified for conformity to the requirements of СТБ ИСО 1400-2005 and ISO 14001:2004, labor protection and industrial safety management system – to the requirements of СТБ 18001 and OHSAS 18001.
RUE «BMZ» won such competitions as «Premium of the government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality» and « Premium of the Ministry of industry of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality» (2001, 2004 and 2007); «Best goods of the Republic of Belarus at Russian market» (2001, 2003-2007); «Best goods of the Republic of Belarus» (2002-2007). In 2007 Quality Director – Head of Technical Control Department has become a laureate of competition «The best Quality Manager -2007».
In 2007 RUE «BMZ» became laureate of the 3rd Quality Tournament of the Central and Eastern European Countries and for the first time established in 2006 competition for premium of CIS countries for quality of products and services.   
Byelorussian steel works was the first of domestic enterprises which became laureate of International Premium Symbol of Honour «Community Star» in nomination «The Best Company of CIS».
On the result of tournament «Man of business of the year 2007» General Director RUE «BMZ» Andrianov Nikolay Victorovich was pronounced as a winner in nomination «For successful application of advanced technologies and management methods».
Products of RUE «BMZ» are highly competitive and are in a constant demand in the world market. In order to expand markets, certification works on correspondence to the requirements of national standards of CIS countries and foreign countries have been carried out since the beginning of 90th.
From the wide product mix welding wire and from the 1st of January 2008 reinforcement bars as well are subject to obligatory certification.  In August 2006 for the first time permission to apply marking «СЄ» for rolled sections from structural steel was obtained in accordance with requirements of directive 89/106/СЕ and BS EN 10025-2004 of company «CARES».
In April and October of the year 2007 size spectrum of steel grades of hot-rolled round billets was expanded and right to apply CE marking was obtained.  
To date the plant has 40 certificates of conformity for different types of products of metallurgical and steel wire production:

  1. CARES certificate for the right to apply СЕ-marking for hot-rolled round billets of the following steel grades: S 355JO, JR and J2 ø 80-160 mm; S 235 JO, JR and J2 ø 80-145 mm; S 235 JR ø 80-160 mm in accordance with requirements of  BS EN 10025-1:2004.
  2. Certificate of company CARES, Grate Britain, for production of rebars В500В in compliance with BS 4449:2005 ø 10-40 mm, reinforcement steel 250 in coils ø 5,5-14 mm according to BS 4482 2005, wire rod ø 5,5-14 mm in compliance with requirements of  BS 4449 and BS-4482.
  3. Certificate Kontrollradet, Norway, for production of rebars В500NВ and В500NС ø10-25 mm on requirements of national standards NS-EN 10080:2005 and NS 3576, parts 2 and 3 and cold deformed reinforcement wire ø 6-12 mm В500NА on requirements of NS 3576 part 1.
  4. Certificate SBS, Sweden, for production of weldable ribbed reinforcement steel В500Т ø 10-32 mm in accordance with European and Swedish standards SS-ENV 10080 + NAD (S) product class 2, hot-rolled and thermo-treated bars.
  5. Certificate KIWA, Holland, for production of reinforcement steel ø 10-32 mm in conformity with BRL 0501, §3 of standard EN 45011 and ISO/IEC volume 2.
  6. Certificate and license of SFS, Finland, for production of reinforcement steel ø 10-32 mm in conformity with Finnish standards SFS 1201, 1215 and special rules ЕО 361.
  7. Certificate MPA NRW, Germany, for production of reinforcement rolled product BSt500S № 8-28 in conformity with DIN 488 parts 2 and 6, Building Rules А, part 1.
  8. Certificate MPA NRW, Germany, for production of reinforcement steel BSt500S(В) ø 8-28 mm hot-rolled and thermotreated rolled products   in conformity with requirements of standard DIN 488, parts 2 and 6, Building Rules А, part 1 and DIN 1045-1:2001-07.
  9. Certificate SLV DUISBURG GmbH, Germany, for production of rolled product С45Е / С45R, С35Е / С35R, ø 80-150 mm in conformity with requirements of Technical Rules DIN EN 10083-1:1996-10.
  10. Certificate TUV CERT, Germany, for production of concast billets, rolled and shaped steel in conformity with requirements of Technical Rules of Germany AD 2000 Merkblatt WO/TRD 100.
  11. Certificate ZETOM, Poland, for production of rebars BSt500S ø 10-40 according to DIN 488 (rebars RB500W according to PN-ISO 6935-2:1998) for conformity to Polish standard PN-ISO 6935-2:1998.
  12. Certificate BAU CERT Steiermark, Austria, for production of hot-rolled reinforcement steel, heated during rolling, improved, in form of ribbed bars BSt550 ø 10-40 mm in conformity with requirements of ONORM B 4200-7 edition 1987.04.
  13. Certificate MPA BAU, Munich, Germany, for production of reinforcement steel in coils BSt500 KR (A) ø 6-12 mm with a special ribbed deformation in cold condition according to Bavarian Building Rules  §2, section 2 №2.
  14. Certificate TZUS, Czech Republic, for production of ribbed rebars for concrete reinforcement BSt500S (IV S) ø10-28 mm according to national Czech standards.
  15. Certificate TSUS, Slovakia, for production of hot-deformed reinforcement steel BSt 500S ø 10-28 mm in compliance with DIN 488.
  16. Certificate of Gosstandart of Russia for production of indented steel bars of А500С class ø 10-40 mm in compliance with TU СТО АСCМ 7-93.
  17. Certificate of system «Mosstroisertificatsiya», for production of light section indented steel bars of А500С class ø 10-25 mm in compliance with TU СТО АСCМ 7-93.
  18. Certificate of system «Mosstroisertificatsiya», for production of medium section indented steel bars of А500С class ø28- mm in compliance with TU СТО АСЧМ 7-93.
  19. Certificate of Gosstandart of Russia for production of hot-rolled steel of А240 (А-I) class ø 8-12mm for reinforcement of concrete structures according to requirements of  GOST 5781-82.
  20. Certificate of system «Mosstroisertificatsiya», for production of light section round rebars of А240 (А-I) class ø 8-12 mm in compliance with GOST 5781-82.
  21. Certificate of Gosstandart of Russia for production of thermo-mechanically strengthened reinforcement steel of At800 class ø 10-14 mm for concrete structures according to requirements of GOST 10884-94.
  22. Certificate of system «Mosstroisertificatsiya», for production of light section indented steel bars thermo-mechanically strengthened of At800 class ø 10-14 mm in compliance with GOST 10884-94.
  23. Certificate of Gosstandart of Russia for production of cold-deformed indented wire of  B500С  class ø 4 and 5 mm for мм concrete structures reinforcement in compliance with TU 14-1-5510-2005.

  33. Certificate № BY/112 03.06.044 00671 of National certification body for nonprestressed rebars for concrete structures S500 cold deformed, in coils, with diameter 4-12 mm.
  34. Certificate of Gosstandart of RB for pre-stressed rebars for concrete structures S800 hot-rolled ø10-14 mm according to requirements of STB1706-2006.
  35. Certificate of compliance TUV-NORD №07-701-PZ-1011-P01 for production of pipes from steel grades Е235, Е275, Е315, Е355 ø 21,3-168,3mm with wall thickness range   3-24mm to the requirements of DIN EN 10297-1:2003-06, validity period till 17.02.2011.
  36. Certificate of TUV-NORD №0045-CPD-1011 for round billets and seamless hot-rolled shells from structural steel grades of  groups S235 and S355 according to DIN EN 10025-2:2005, Appendixes A and В to DIN EN 10210-1:2006 with validity period till 17.02.2011. (ЕС declaration of conformity of hot-rolled seamless shells from structural steel grades of strength groups  from S235 to S355 according to Appendixes А and В to DIN EN 10210-1:2006, requirements of EC Directive 89/106/EЭC for building products, revised according with EC Directive 93/68/ЕЭС.)
  37. Certificate № 26/07 "Simptest" (Poland) for production of ribbed steel in coils for concrete reinforcement with diameters 6,8,10 and 12 mm BSt500KR (A) according DIN 488 ( PN ISO 6935-2:1998).
  38. Certificate TUV NORD (Germany) for production of hot-rolled billets and seamless pipes of ferritic steel grades according to AD 2000-Merkblatt W0, validity period from 18.02.2008 to 01.02.2011.
  39. Certificate № BY/112 03.06.044 00836 for nonprestressed reinforcement bars for concrete structures; class S400, hot-rolled in coils, diameter 8 mm.
  40. Certificate № BY/112 03.06.044 00917 for nonprestressed reinforcement bars for concrete structures; class S400, hot-rolled in bundles, diameter 10-32 mm.

According to international experience steel cord and wire are not certified by independent organizations because every customer has specific requirements for this type of products. Hardware production and product quality are inspected and assessed directly by customers. The result of such audits are approvals of the plant as a supplier of such companies as Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, Gates, Manuli, Pirelli, etc..
