July 28, 2009 –30 mil tons of steel produced at EMS-1. It took the plant 20 years to manufacture first 20 mil tons of steel (this output was reached in 2004 in honour of the 20th anniversary of BMZ), and the next 10 mil were produced in 5 years. This fact is the evidence of high productive potential of the plant and its labour collective.

April 20, 2011 – a new record set at EMS-3: 10-millionth ton of steel cast in CCM-3. It happened after more than 23 years of operation. The start of the record was set in September 1987 when CCM-3 was commissioned.

August 18, 2011 – Ministry of Industry signed an order on SA Belvtromet (including its six regional enterprises collecting and processing ferrous scrap) and UE “Beltsvetmet (including its affiliated company “Tsvetmet”, Zhodino) joining PA “BMZ. During last three years “Belvtormet” included three more enterprises: OJSC “Tekhnoprobor” (Mogilyov), OJSC “Polesieelektromash” (Luninets), and OJSC “Kobrin Toolmaking Plant “Sitomo”.
August 26 2011 – SWS-3 produced 1 000 000 tons of wire(drawing machine operator Vyacheslav Polyakov)
August 31, 2011 – a contract for the erection of a small-section rolling mill signed with Danieli (Italy). The rolling mill output: 700 thou tpy with the possibility to increase it up to 1 mln tpy. Project value: EUR100 million, implementation period: 30 months.
September 3, 2011 – Hockey club “Metallurg” became the winner of the main summer trophy of the country. The final match of the Cup which took place September 3 at Minsk Arena ended with a triumphal victory of the Zhlobin team. “Metallurg” was the only team which did not lose a single point.
September 6, 2011 – RUE “BMZ” became the winner of the republican professional competition “Best construction product of year 2011” for the following goods:
1. Non-prestressed reinforcement bars for concrete structures, class S 500, cold-deformed coils 4,0 – 12,0 mm according to STB 1704 – 2006 “Non-prestressed reinforcing bars for concrete structures”.
2. Steel hot-deformed seamless pipes of structural steels according to DIN EN 10210 “Hollow hot-deformed sections of non-alloy and fine-grain steel grades for steel structures”.
September 23, 2011 – 15 years since the establishment of Zhlobin Metallurgical Technical School
November 10, 2011 – mill 850 crossed the border of 9 million ton output (team No.3)
November 2011 – RUE “BMZ” won the competition “Best goods of the Republic of Belarus on the markets of the Russian Federation” in 2011.
December 2011 – On the night from December 7 to December 8 rolling mill 320 crossed the border of 1 million ton output. The honour of rolling of the jubilee ton of the reinforcing steel fell to team No.3 headed by shift engineer S.M. Yadchenko and foreman R.F. Zarutsky.
December 27, 2011 – the first thick issue of the newspaper “Metallurg” (supplement “Korporativnaya Sreda”).
December – RUE “BMZ” became a laureate of the competition arranged by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus for the achievements in the area of quality. RUE “BMZ” won this competition in 2001, 2004, 2007.
January 1, 2012– establishment of a tare and die shop (T&DS) in the result of merger of T&PS and PM&DS.

March 7, 2012 – the first foundation for a new lime kiln No.3 laid and a capsule with a text addressed to the progeny embedded by the general director Mr. A. Savianok.
March 11, 2012 – opening of the first in the country museum of metallurgy for children in kindergarten No. 34.
Based on the results of March 2012 – electric melt shops achieved the highest production in the plant’s history: 233 thou.880 tons and exceeded the record of October 2011 by over 4 thousand tons.

May 4, 2012 – commissioning of the second bronze-plated bead wire line in SWS-1 after reconstruction. By the end of 2012 it is planned to produce merchantable products in the amount of $14,2million.
May 15, 2012 – capsule with a letter addressed to the descendants embedded in the foundation of a new small-section rolling mill.

May 24-25, 2012 – plant’s scientific and technical conference of young specialists of OJSC “BSW” “Metal – 2012”.
May 25, 2012 – 20th anniversary of the commissioning of the network and substation shop.
June 9, 2012 – EAF -3 produces a 107 – 108 t heat. Previous maximum daily rate of casting in CCM -3 corresponds to 26 heats. June 9 steelmakers added almost 216 t more (3rd team, shift engineer N.E. Rozhkov, melting foreman P.E. Rozhkov, casting foreman Y.M. Kopylkov).
June 11, 2012 – OJSC “BSW” occupied the first place in the nomination “Export sales leader” among clients of OJSC “Priorbank”. This was the appreciation of our plant’s work by the board of experts of one of the leading banks of our country. June 11, a special sign was awarded to the general director A. Savianok.
June 20, 2012 – BSW became a laureate of the competition for the prize of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2011 in the category “Production of goods of production use” (among the organizations with the overall strength exceeding 250 people).
July 4-6, 2012 – international scientific-technical conference of young workers “Metal – 2012” participated by representatives of Russia, the Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Belarus.

September 3, 2012 – steel fiber for concrete reinforcement (anchor, wavy, and microfiber) became the winner of the Republican Professional Contest “The best building product of year 2012”.

October 2012 – a new production record set by the staff of the electric melt shops. Total output of EAFs-1, 2, 3 reached 236 729 tons. A new record in concast billet production set. 168 thou. 365 tons produced. A new production frontier reached by the teams of rolling mills 320 and 150. Rolled section production in mill 320 made up 96 318 tons, in mill 150 – 49 022 tons.
November 21, 2012 – 25 years since commissioning of steel wire shop No.1.
November 21, 2012 – 25th anniversary of EMS-2 and rolling mill 850.
January 1, 2013 - new structural unit - Department of Energy was formed as a result of the shop conslidation – department for power and gas-oxygen shop.
January 13, 2013 - ice-hockey team “Metallurg” played at Continental cup superfinal successfully and took second place in a prestige European tournament.
January 24, 2013 – according to expert evaluation of EcoVadis (Michelin) in 2012 the achievements of BMZ in social sphere and environmental protection exceeded the level which Michelin established for suppliers. These results show the maturity of BMZ in social sphere and environmental protection and form the Michelin criterion for supplier selection.
February 3, 2013 – shop for electrical equipment repair of metallurgical millst is twenty nine years of foundation.
February, 2013 - Byelorussian Steel Works became the Prize Winner of Ministry of Industry of Republic of Belarus in the field of science and engineering in 2012.Annually this Premium is awarded for development and implementation of new materials and technologies that favour the attainment of Byelorussian science on a level with the highest worlds standards and the development of industry.
February 11, 2013 - new eighth medical room was opened at Byelorussian Steel Works (administrative building of Steel Melting Shop -1) where workers can receive a necessary medical aid included emergency aid.
March 1, 2013 - Byelorussian Steel Works became the Prize Winner in nomination «The best investor and exporter» among the enterprises of Zhlobin and Zhlobin region by the results of 2012. Challenge Flag and Honorary Diploma were presented.
March 28, 2013 - daughter company “Metallurgtorg” is ten years of foundation.
April 1, 2013 – the fourth stage of BMZ (pumping plant) is twenty years of commissioning.
April 5, 2013 - Gomel Executive Committee thanked officially the team of Byelorussian Steel Works for a valuable contribution to economic and social development of Gomel region.
April 18, 2013 – 10 years passed since that Byelorussian Steel Works were the first enterprise to receive an ecological certificate at Gomel region. The staff had prepared for that event during 2 years. At once BMZ have received two certificates for correspondence with the requirements of international standardISO 14001-1996 and national standard STB СТБ ИСО 14001-2000.
