February, 2008 – a slitting technology of 2 and 3-strand rolling for production of reinforcing bars of large diameters was applied for the first time on the territory of the former USSR in the Rolling Mill of the plant.

July 28, 2009 –30 mil tons of steel produced at EMS-1. It took the plant 20 years to manufacture first 20 mil tons of steel (this output was reached in 2004 in honour of the 20th anniversary of BMZ), and the next 10 mil were produced in 5 years. This fact is the evidence of high productive potential of the plant and its labour collective.
July 8, 2009 - 5 years since the formation of the plant’s primary organization of the Byelorussian Republican Youth Union
August 2009 – start of CCM-3 upgrading.
October 9, 2009 – the plant was the first in the republic to submit its corporate social report to be studied by the general public and participants of the UN Global Compact.
October 13, 2009 – Anatoli Savianok was appointed the general director of the PA "Byelorussian Steel Works" – the general director of the RUE "Byelorussian Steel Works"
October 15, 2009 - RUE "BMZ" celebrated its 25th anniversary
November, 2009 – the central plant’s laboratory was accredited by Deutsche Gesellschaft fűr Akkreditierung mbH (DGA), an accreditation organization
November, 2009 - production of concast billet in CCM-1,2 reached 161 108 tons per month.
November 5, 2009 – 25th anniversary of the section rolling mill
December 10, 2009 – During 25-year history of rolling mill 320 its personnel reached the highest working performance – one million ton of the rolled stock per year while the design capacity of the mill is 450 tpy.
December 14, 2009 – A.M. Savianok was appointed the president of the International Union of Metallurgists by its enlarged session.
March 25, 2010– a contract for the erection of the third lime kiln was signed with TECHCOM (Germany).
March 31, 2010 – a commemorative 100th ton of pipes was produced.
April 16, 2010 –150th ton of pipes was rolled in the pipe mill.
July 7- 9, 2010 – 10th commemorative International Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Specialists “Metal 2010” was held.
September 15, 2010 – 10th anniversary of rolling mill 150 commissioning
March 5, 2010 – BMZ was awarded the title of «The best Investor of the Year». The labour collective was awarded a challenge banner and an Honorary Letter of Commendation based on the previous year performance.
